This midsized selection produces heads of large, shaggy pink-mauve flowers in mid to late summer. Foliage is delightfully fragrant, and significantly more resistant to powdery mildew than most older varieties. Excellent for cutting. The third introduction of the Grand™ series, bred by Agriculture Canada in Morden, Manitoba.

Examples include 'Grand Parade'™ which is an exceptionally hardy cultivar characterized by its profuse production of bright lavender-purple flowers atop mid-sized plants that display very good mildew.

Best grown in rich, medium to wet, moisture-retentive soils in full sun to part shade. Prefers rich, humusy soils in full sun, although some afternoon shade is appreciated in hot summer climates. Does best in well-draining conditions, but can tolerate heavier clay. Soil should not be allowed to dry out. Deadhead flowers to prolong summer bloom.
